3M™ Tegaderm™ High Performance Foam Non-Adhesive Dressings are constructed from a highly absorbent polyurethane foam pad. Highly breathable film backing maintains a moist wound environment, prevents wound exudate strikethrough and acts as a barrier to outside contamination through the foam pad.
• Unique multilayer design provides high absorbency with high breathability to reduce the risk of maceration
• Adapts to changing levels of exudate to maintain moisture balance for optimal wound healing
• Demonstrates high fluid handling capacity under compression
• Dressing does not stick to wound bed thereby minimizing disruption of healing tissue
• Film backing prevents strikethrough and protects against external bacteria and viruses
3M™ Tegaderm™ High Performance Foam Dressing is indicated for use as a primary or secondary dressing for low- to highly exuding partial- and full-thickness wounds such as pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, arterial ulcers, skin tears, surgical wounds and abrasions. The dressing is suitable for use around tube exit sites and with compression therapy. The dressing is not designed, sold, or intended for use except as indicated.
Do not use 3M™ Tegaderm™ High Performance Foam Non-Adhesive Dressing in combination with oxidizing agents such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solution. These solutions may affect the structure and performance of the polyurethane foam.
At the time of dressing change, if the dressing is adhered to the wound surface, saturate with normal saline, and gently loosen.
3M™ Tegaderm™ High Performance Foam Non-Adhesive Dressings may be used on infected wounds under the care of a health care professional. If the wound does not begin to show signs of healing or if any other unexpected symptoms occur, consult a health care professional.
3M™ Tegaderm™ High Performance Foam Dressings are not intended for use in pressure reduction or as a surgical sponge.

Note: Follow facility guidelines for infection control policies and procedures.
Apply to clean, dry skin.
Select appropriate size dressing to ensure that the foam pad is larger than the wound area. The dressing may be cut as necessary to accommodate wound contours.
Remove dressing from package. Position the foam side of the dressing over the wound with edges overlapping onto intact skin, ensuring glossy tan film is facing upward. Secure with elastic or cohesive wrap, tape or other methods.
When using the dressing for absorption and cushioning of tube sites (such as tracheostomy or gastric tubes), the dressing may be held in place by the tube itself or secured by taping the edges of the dressing in a picture frame manner. Note: Covering the entire foam dressing with an occlusive tape may reduce the breathability of the film backing. To maintain moisture vapor exchange, tape only edges of the dressing in a picture frame manner.
Observe the dressing frequently. May remain in place for up to 7 days. As the dressing absorbs, exudate will wick to the top of the dressing, and discoloration may be noticeable. When the exudate spreads to the edges of the dressing or the dressing begins to leak, a dressing change is indicated.
Dressing change frequency will depend on the type of wound, volume of exudate, and clinical situation. Change at least every seven days, or as indicated per treatment protocol.
To remove dressing, carefully lift the edge of the dressing from the skin. If the dressing is adhered to the wound surface, saturate with normal saline and gently loosen. Continue lifting until dressing is free from the skin surface and remove.
Avoid forceful removal of the dressing to minimize disruption of the wound bed. To reduce the risk of infection, do not reuse dressing and dispose per facility protocol.
