Atrauman Ag is a non-adherent silver impregnated antibacterial dressing that provides a moist wound environment. The dressing is comprised of a meshed hydrophobic polyamide textile coated with metallic silver that kills bacteria within the dressing.
• The dressing is composed of a meshed hydrophobic polyamide textile coated with metallic silver (2.1 mg/sq inch) that kills bacteria within the dressing and a hydrophilic matrix consisting mainly of triglycerides. The mesh fabric allows silver ion formation on its surface upon contact with exudate.
• Prevents adhesion to the wound
• The soft, thin support fabric drapes easily and ensures close contact with the wound base
• Atrauman Ag is effective against particular Gram negative (P. aeruginosa, E. coli, A. baumannii) bacterial strains, and Gram positive (MRSA, S. epidermidis, E. hirae).
• Can be cut to size
Atrauman Ag antimicrobial wound dressing is indicated for use with moderately exuding wounds such as pressure wounds, venous leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, partial thickness burns, skin graft donor sites, surgical graft donor sites, surgical wounds, and abrasions.
Do not use Atrauman Ag on patients who may be allergic to any of its ingredients.
Treatment with Atrauman Ag does not replace a required antibiotic therapy.
• Do not use on dry wounds.
• For use in adults only.
• Atrauman Ag is MR unsafe.
• Do not reuse the dressing.
• Do not continue to apply new dressings for more than 30 days.
• Before opening the product packaging, inspect it carefully for signs of damage. Do not use the product if there are visible signs of damage, such as cracks, channels, pinholes, or nonuniform, torn or incomplete seals.

1. Remove Atrauman Ag wound dressing from the peel pack with both product release liners in place.
2. If necessary, cut to fit the size of the wound. Carry out under sterile conditions. Atrauman Ag should overlap the wound and should be about the same size as the secondary dressing.
3. Remove the release liner from one side. Either place the free side on the wound and then remove the remaining release liner or use sterile tweezers or sterile gloves to pick up Atrauman Ag from the second release liner and place it on the wound.
4. Atrauman Ag should be applied in a single layer, do not fold or apply in multiple layers.
5. Secure a suitable, sterile, absorbent secondary dressing according to its instructions for use over
Atrauman Ag to absorb wound exudate.
6. The contact layer remains effective up to seven days.
7. Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician or medically indicated, a new Atrauman Ag
dressing should be applied at each dressing but not more than 30 days.
