Mode of Use/Application

Clean the wound according to good clinical practice. Choose an appropriate dressing size. Aseptically, loosely fold the dressing or roll up the dressing according to the wound shape. If necessary, the dressing can be cut to size. Loosely pack the cavity wound with the dressing (do not fill more than approximately 60% of the wound). Do not pack the wound tightly, as the absorption of exudate will cause the dressing to expand and fill the cavity wound. Cover Cutimed® Cavity with a suitable secondary dressing.

Removal & Change Frequency

Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed® Cavity from the wound and discard. If required, cleanse the wound site prior to application of a new Cutimed® Cavity dressing.
