Cutimed® Cuticell® is a low-adherent primary wound contact layer made of smooth small meshed acetate fabric impregnated with non-medicated ointment basis that ensures the wound is not disturbed and helps maintain a moist environment that supports wound healing.
• Smooth acetate knit fabric is lint-free and does not fray when cut to size
• Allows exudate to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing
• Low-adherent and soothing to minimize pain at dressing changes
• Simple handling without release paper for easy application
• Permeable to air and exudate to prevent occlusive effects
• Supports a moist wound environment to promote healing
• Will not charge the wound with excess ointment
• Small mesh size prevents tissue ingrowth
• Suitable for patients with sensitive skin
• Application either side down
Cutimed® Cuticell® is used as a primary wound contact layer in the treatment of superficial exudating wounds such as abrasions, lacerations, radiation injuries, donor and recipient skin graft sites.

Before applying the dressing disinfect hands and use gloves. Cleanse the wound according to standard procedures. If necessary, irrigate the wound and remove leftover cleansing solution afterwards. Remove the Cutimed® Cuticell® dressing from the peel pouch and put the dressing smoothly on the wound. Place a sterile secondary dressing over Cutimed® Cuticell® to absorb the wound exudate. Fix the dressing by bandage or adhesive material.
Carefully remove secondary dressing and gently remove Cutimed® Cuticell® from the wound and discard. If required, cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing.
