Cleanse the wound and make sure the surrounding skin is dry. Choose an appropriate dressing size that covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges. Remove protective film and apply the adherent side towards the wound. Avoid stretching the dressing. Apply appropriate additional dressing fixation if required.
Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed® Siltec® from the wound and discard. Cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing. Cutimed® Siltec® dressings can remain in place for up to 7 days as clinical conditions allow.
For the non-borded Siltec® products it is recommended to use Hypafix® and Hypafix® Skin Sensitive for secure dressing fixation.
