Mode of Use/Application

Prepare the tube entry site by thoroughly cleansing the area, per your facility's protocol. Carefully remove any dried secretion or debris from the area. Apply the dressing to fit securely around the drain tube, with the writing on the film side facing away from the patient's skin. If fixation is needed, tape and secure it down. The tape should only be applied to the edges of the dressing.

Removal & Change Frequency

Hydrofera Blue READY® Tube Site Dressing can be left in place up to 7 days, depending on the exudate and clinical conditions of the wound. The dressing should be changed if it turns white. If the dressing has retained its color where it is in contact with the wound, the dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days. Duration of use is determined by the health care provider and depends on wound type and conditions.
