Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing is indicated for exuding wounds and wounds with compromised or fragile periwound skin, featuring Safetac® technology. Can be used under compression.
• Adheres gently to surrounding skin to free hands for secondary fixation
• Does not adhere to wound bed for less trauma to wound upon removal
• Foam pad conforms to body contours and promotes patient comfort
• May be lifted and adjusted without losing its adherent properties
• Absorbs exudate and minimizes risk of maceration
• May be cut to size of wound
• Easy to apply and remove
Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing is indicated for use on moderately exuding wounds, leg and foot ulcers, pressure injuries, under compression, graft and donor sites and traumatic wounds (e.g., skin tears and secondary healing wounds).
In case of clinical signs of infection, the use of Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing may be continued if proper infection treatment is initiated. Mepilex® should be stored in dry conditions below 95°F (35°C). Sterility is guaranteed unless inner package is damaged or opened prior to use. Do not re-sterilize.

Clean the wound area. Remove the release film. Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing should overlap the wound bed by at least 2cm onto the surrounding skin. Apply the adherent side to the wound. Do not stretch.
Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing may remain in place for up to seven days, but should be changed before saturation or else as indicated by accepted clinical practice.
A change in dressing regimen can result in an initial increased level of exudate, which temporarily may require an increased change frequency.
When necessary, secure Mepilex® Absorbent Foam Dressing with a bandage or other fixation.
