• Iodoform provides odor resistance to the packing strip
• Unbreakable poly bottles
• Tamper-evident seals
• Used in wound care management applications such as nasal or sinus packing
Packing Strips are for nasal or sinus packing.
Not for use on third-degree burns unless approved by a physician in all cases.
Not intended for use on excessively draining wounds.
The packing strips should be lifted out of the bottle with a sterile implement and folded into the wound opening. The folding should fill the wound space completely, but not tightly. A cotton swab can be used to gently guide the packing into small or tunneled areas. Cover the wound with a secondary dressing for extra protection and absorbency.
Dressing may remain in place for up to seven days.
