20–30mmHg: Management of mild stages of chronic venous disease (CVD): Leg discomfort: tired, achy legs; occupational or evening swelling; telangiectasias or reticular veins; varicose veins; Management of moderate stages of chronic venous disease (CVD): Edema; skin changes. DVT prevention and management. Lymphedema maintenance therapy. Mild varicosities with mild to moderate edema during pregnancy. After venous interventions. Orthostatic or postural hypotension. Cellulitis or superficial phlebitis.
30–40mmHg: Management of mild stages of chronic venous disease (CVD): Leg discomfort: tired, achy legs; Occupational or evening swelling; telangiectasias or reticular veins; varicose veins. Management of moderate to severe stages of chronic venous disease (CVD): Edema; skin changes; skin changes with healed ulceration, skin changes with active ulcerations. DVT prevention and management. Reduction of post-traumatic and post-surgical edema. Prevention and management of post-thrombotic syndrome. Moderate varicosities with mild to moderate edema during pregnancy. After venous interventions. Lymphedema maintenance therapy. Orthostatic or postural hypotension. Cellulitis or superficial phlebitis.
40mmHg or higher: Management of severe stages of chronic venous disease (CVD): Varicose veins; edema; skin changes; skin changes with healed ulceration, skin changes with active ulcerations. Severe post-thrombotic syndrome; lymphedema maintenance therapy.
You should not wear Sigvaris compression stockings if you have any of the following medical conditions: Severe arterial insufficiency, intermittent claudication, ischemia, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, diabetes with advanced arterial compromise, advanced neuropathy with sensory loss in leg or foot.
Skin sensitivities or allergies (including silicone and silver). Neuropathy with decreased sensation in leg or foot. Diabetes Confinement to bed or non-ambulatory use unless otherwise prescribed by the physician. Eczema, hypo-dermatitis, dermatosclerosis, confirmed allergy to compression material. If you experience any discomfort or abnormal symptoms, remove the stocking and consult your physician.
