Dakin's Wound Cleanser is the same non-cytotoxic, low-foaming formulation as Di-Dak-Sol (Diluted Dakin's Solution). It mechanically cleanses acute and chronic wounds, stage 1-4 pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, and burns.
Dakin's Wound Cleanser is available both OTC and Rx. For OTC, it is intended for cleansing of minor cuts, minor lacerations, minor abrasions and minor wounds, and for removal of foreign objects such as dirt and debris. For Rx, it is intended for cleansing of acute, chronic and open wounds such as stage 1-4 pressure injuries, diabetic foot and leg ulcers, surgical wounds, first- and second-degree burns, and grafted and donor sites.
For external use only. Stop use and ask a doctor if redness, irritation, swelling, or pain persists or increases. Do not use if sensitive to any of the compounds. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. May bleach clothing.
Store at room temperature (20°C-25°C, 68°F-77°F). Keep container closed when not in use.

Pour onto affected area. Flush wound or affected area until clean. For wound management, use as an irrigant, cleanser, or the wetting agent for a wet-to-moist dressing. Apply once daily for lightly to moderately exudative wounds. Apply twice daily for heavily exudative wounds.
