Wound Closure Devices

Wound closure devices include specially designed sutures, staples, and mechanical apparatus that aid in closing wounds by manipulating edges of the wound tissue closer together. Wound closure devices vary in design and may require tension/pressure adjustment once applied to a patient, or absorb into the skin, depending on the function and manufacture. May be indicated for use on chronic, traumatic, and surgical wounds and skin grafts and flaps.
