Combines high absorption and retention to help prevent excess exudate from contributing to poor skin integrity. Can be used as a primary or secondary dressing. Ideal where there is a risk of skin damage due to high levels of exudate. Available in non-adhesive and silicone adhesive forms.

CovaWound™ Alginate (Alginate Dressing) is a primary wound dressing made from the calcium salt of alginic acid rich in mannuronic acid. Forms a soft, hydrophilic, gas-permeable gel when in contact with exudate, conforming to the contours of the wound to provide a micro-environment that facilitates wound healing. CuraVance® Alginate Ag – Silver Calcium Alginate Dressing is a pliable and absorbent fiber dressing made of calcium alginate high in mannuronic acid. Turns into gel when in contact with wound exudate, maintaining a moist environment to facilitate wound healing.

CuraVance® Bordered Foam Ag Dressing is highly absorptive with an impermeable polyurethane film layer that acts as a liquid and microbial barrier to prevent external contamination. Moisture vapor and oxygen transfer to create a balanced moist wound healing environment.

Cutimed® Alginate is a soft, white, sterile, non-woven dressing consisting of 80% calcium and 20% sodium alginate fiber. Made of natural fibers derived from seaweed, gelatin-free and is not made with natural rubber latex. Highly absorbent, conformable, and fast-gelling.

Cutimed® Sorbion® Border is a bordered, sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming, self-adhesive, superabsorbent wound dressing, offering atraumatic dressing changes. The dressing consists of a strong water-retaining superabsorbent core, a wound contact layer from a hypoallergenic polypropylene, a silicone adhesive border and a breathable, waterproof backing from polyurethane which allows the ability to shower.

Cutimed® Sorbion® Sana Dressings are superabsorbent dressings that offer atraumatic removal. The outer wound contact layer's 3D structure and smooth surface facilitates the fluid flow in the direction of the dressing, while offering few points of access for tissue ingowth, which provides a protective layer against adherence to the wound bed.

Cutimed® Sorbion® Sorbact® is a hydrophobic bacteria binding superabsorbent dressing. The super absorbent core absorbs and retains moderate to high levels of exudate, reducing the risk of potential skin maceration, even under compression. The wound contact layer is coated with Sorbact® Technology to safely and effectively bind hydrophobic bacteria without releasing active substances into the wound.

DermaGinate/Ag™ Calcium Alginate Dressing with Antibacterial Silver is for moderate to high exudating wounds. Restrains bacterial growth within the dressing to reduce the risk of infection.
