Clean the wound area in accordance with cleansing protocol. Ensure the periwound skin is dry. Select a size of hydrocolloid dressing that is large enough to overlap the wound edges by at least 2-3cm. Remove the dressing from the pouch, partially tear off the release film and apply the adherent side to the wound. Remove the remaining liner and smooth dressing down onto the skin, ensuring you have made good contact with the skin.
For dressing removal, press down on the skin outside of the dressing and gently lift an edge of the dressing. Gently loosen the edges until all are free from the skin surface. Dressing can be worn for up to 7 days as clinical conditions allow.
