Select a wound dressing size where the hydropolymer wound pad overlaps onto the skin surrounding the wound site. Do not cut the dressing. Remove the transparent release liner marked with a number 1. Apply the dressing centrally over the wound ensuring that the hydropolymer pad faces and covers the wound. Remove the white release liners marked with a number 2. Gently smooth the adhesive border of the dressing to ensure good contact with the skin. Hold one of the red strips marked with a number 3 and peel off the top carrier film. Hold the next red strip also marked with a 3 to remove the second top carrier film. Gently smooth down the adhesive border of the dressing.
Inspect the wound frequently through the transparent hydropolymer wound pad. Leukomed® Control may remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the wound condition, visibility, and wound exudate. Gently remove Leukomed® Control from the wound by stretching the film border. If required, the hydropolymer pad may be moistened with sterile saline solution for easier removal.
