Polyurethane adhesives form a thin and flexible wound covering. Polyurethane adhesive dressing provide a soft wound covers composed of cross-linked polymers reinforced with or bonded to mesh or fabric. These dressings can be used in woundcare and wearable dressing products requiring extended wear, high breathability and lower trauma than traditional acrylic adhesives.
Polyurethane adhesive dressings feature the following general performance properties and attributes:

• Increased wear time
• Radiation sterilizable
Polyurethane adhesives are indicated for use on short or long term dressings requiring good anchorage balanced with low trauma removal and high breathability such as for IV securement, negative pressure wound therapy and wearable telemetry.
Polyurethane adhesives are contraindicated for use on patients with a polyurethane allergy or sensitivity.

Not for use on unhealed, open wounds.
May cause maceration or a rash if prone to allergic reaction to polyurethane raw materials
