Indications

ZeniFOAM GENTLE is for use on pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, leg ulcers, abrasions, partial-thickness wounds, full-thickness wounds, lacerations, moderate to heavily draining wounds, first- and second-degree burns, donor sites, and surgical wounds.

Contraindications

Do not use as an internal dressing or sponge.
Do not use on third-degree burns.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not use if a known allergy or hypersensitivity exists to the dressing or its components.
Do not use with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.

Adverse Effects/Reactions

If reddening or skin sensitization occurs discontinue use and notify your medical provider.

Storage Requirements

Store ZeniFOAM Gentle in a cool, dry place and avoid light.

Mode of Use/Application

The sticky side of the dressing is the silicone and should be placed touching the wound. Please note: Silicone is naturally sticky to the touch; however, when in contact with wound drainage, the silicone is non-adherent to the wound. Unlike traditional glue adhesives, ZeniFOAM GENTLE is gentle and easy to remove. The colored backing on ZeniFOAM GENTLE is waterproof to prevent drainage from striking through the dressing and to provide protection from external contaminants. ZeniFOAM GENTLE does not have an adhesive border and can be secured in place with another dressing such as gauze or as directed by your medical provider.

Removal & Change Frequency

Replace dressing every other day, when drainage is visible to the edge of the foam pad, if the dressing leaks, or as instructed by your medical provider.

Additional Recommended Dressings

May use a secondary dressing such as gauze, bandage tape or other retention dressing.
