Aletha W. Tippett

Dr. Aletha Tippett earned a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri and a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is board certified in family medicine, pain management, palliative care and wound care. She is a practicing solo family physician in Ohio with a primary focus on wound care, using a bioengineering approach. She spends a significant amount of time consulting in nursing homes, hospitals and the outpatient office on wound care, having treated more than 15,000 wounds to date.
Dr. Tippett’s main areas of interest in wound care are limb salvage and pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. She is the founder and president of the Hope of Healing Foundation®, dedicated to limb salvage and innovative wound treatment. She has been honored with numerous awards in the health-care community and is a published author and international speaker on wound care.
