Indications

ArtAssist® is intended for use with patients with peripheral arterial disease, pain while walking and at rest due to poor circulation, diabetic foot and arterial ulcers.

Contraindications

ArtAssist® is contraindicated for use during episodes of superficial phlebitis, cellulitis or osteomyelitis; when increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable, such as in patients with severe congestive heart failure; when deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism exist or is suspected or in cases of acute ischemia due to arterial blood clot.

Mode of Use/Application

Apply the ArtAssist® compression cuffs, connect tubing, position patient upright in a chair with feet flat on the ground and turn the device on. Typical regimen is one hour T.I.D.

Additional Recommended Dressings

Patients should leave all wound dressings, pants and socks on during treatment session.
